Twin Rivers Montessori was opened in 1990 in the heart of the up-and-coming city, Oviedo, Florida. The vision for our Twin Rivers campus is derived from the foundation of our Main Campus facility, Tuskawilla Montessori Academy. At our Twin Rivers campus, we provide an accredited, challenging, and comprehensive Montessori curriculum for students ages 3 years old through the Kindergarten year. Upon completing our program, our students continue to our Main Campus, where we provide a Montessori education for students through the Eighth Grade. Dr. Maria Montessori believed that no human being is educated by another person. The children must do it themselves or it will never be done. Truly educated individuals continue learning long after the hours and years they spend in the classroom because they are motivated from within by a natural curiosity and love for knowledge. Dr. Montessori felt, therefore, that the goal of early childhood education should not be to fill the child with facts from a preselected course of studies, but rather to cultivate their own natural desire to learn.
